A: The Sensor XP is better equipped to be used where there are varying flooring types (carpet/hard surfaces). The Sensor S is best used when automatic adjustment is not necessary. If the user is inclined to manually adjust the height of the vacuum, the Karcher Sensor S is the best choice.
A: The filters, including the bag, are the barriers that prevent dirt from blowing right back into the room you're cleaning. When the filters are clogged (it happens and is natural), the air is prevented from passing through the machine, creating poor performance. It is recommended that the filters for the Karcher Versamatic model vacuums be changed every 20 bag changes. Bags generally come in packs of 10, making it easy to order filters every other time you order bags. Filters on CV and CVU models should be changed every 10 bag changes. It is advised to purchase a filter every time you order (don't worry, they’re cheap).
A: This is NOT recommended! There are fine pores in the filter bag material that will still be blocked even after emptying the bag out. Not only is emptying bags incredibly messy, but you will likely breathe in more dust/allergens than you would in 10 years worth of vacuuming, not a healthy choice.

It will clean more sq. ft./hr than the CVU’s. The Versamatic is heavier than its single motor counterpart, making it more difficult to be carrying it up and down stairs. A 2-Motor vacuum is usually used more inline with the likes of "lawnmower" than a single motor like the CVU’s. The advantages of the CVU’s are: it’s smaller, lighter.
